NetworX was founded in February of 1996 by myself, Darren Hart.

Having started my first technology businesses at 21 in the late eighties, and then having done work for some of the worlds largest companies, as well as a diverse number of SME's in various sectors, I'm probably closer than I'd care to admit to, being a "veteran".

I've always been known as one that thinks "outside of the box". An innovator. Someone who works hard to achieve great results, both personally and for my clients.

Early in 1996 I saw an opportunity for small to medium businesses in New Zealand to outsource much needed network management and optimisation services within their local area and wide area networks. This business grew to include significant commercial long term relationships with larger food manufacturers, primary producers and a host of responsibilities in the maintainance of key relationships with other technology providers to maintain my clients levels of business availability.

That business was sold to a nationwide service provider, for whom I grew and managed their
business successfully for over 7 years. In that role we grew a team from 2 people to 12 people and built a world class data centre facility (which was later acquired by Fujitsu Corporation)

At a technology level, it was the interest in and daily exposure to the foundations of TCP/IP (the language of the Internet infrastructure) that first perked my interest in Internet technologies. It was very early in the piece that I understood just how pervasive the Internet would become.

In the early part of 2007 I began experimenting with various Internet related projects, tools and technologies.

These included Internet to cellular network integration, traffic generation, conversion tracking and search engine optimisation. I travelled the world, met the experts and studied what worked and those that made it work.

Today we exist as a "life style business" that allows myself, my staff and business partners to enjoy quality time with  family, a quality life in a beautiful part of the world with minimal levels of stress and time to enjoy important stuff like, family, fun and fishing.

As such, we leverage outsourcing of resources internationally, employ virtual staff to perform key business functions and systemise and automate mundane, but neceassary tasks, where-ever possible.

To give back to the community, I contribute to a community services organsation known as Enseer.
